What is MicroliteŽ?
MicroliteŽ is formed during the production of ferrosilicon or silicon metal. MicroliteŽ consists of microsilica - an extremely fine, amorphous type of silicon dioxide. After further processing, Microlite is produced as a liquid, or as a powder. It can be delivered in 25-kg sacks in the powdered form, and 200-litres drums or 1000-litres containers in the liquid form.
The silicon dioxide in MicroliteŽ is present in an amorphous, non-crystalline state. MicroliteŽ is for this reason considered non-hazardous to health.
